Tommy Smith

Tommy Smith is one of the world’s leading saxophonists. A presence on the international jazz scene since his teenage years with vibes master Gary Burton, Smith has created a major body of work as a composer and recording artist and continues to tour with Norwegian bass legend Arild Andersen as well as featuring in a variety of his own projects.

Tommy Smith solo saxophone  particularly suited to cathedrals and churches and other venerable stone buildings whose acoustics lend themselves to Tommy’s superb tone production and unhurried improvisations in partnership with the natural ambience. Available October 2022 onwards.

So far, among the venues Tommy has played solo are Lichfield Cathedral, St Giles’ Cathedral. Edinburgh, Dunblane Cathedral, St Machar Cathedral, Aberdeen, St Ninian’s Cathedral, Perth and Dunfermline Abbey.
